Our Fleet and Equipment

Our equipment is built around two jobs: road tanker transport of liquid dangerous goods, and intermodal road delivery of containers. In both areas we work with our own vehicle combinations and an integrated subcontractor network.

Chassis

  • Semi-trailers equipped with chassis for 20’ containers

  • Extended chassis – for up to 28 tons payload, within 44 tons gross vehicle weight

  • Special kipper (tipping) chassis for denser materials

  • Subcontractor network with chassis optimised for 20’, 30’, 40’ and 45’ containers

Why every tractor unit carries a compressor

Liquid chemicals are usually discharged under applied pressure: compressed air pushes the product out of the tank. With the compressor on the tractor unit, the combination does not depend on equipment at the delivery site and can also serve locations where no pressure source is available.

What extended and kipper chassis are for

An extended chassis allows better weight distribution, so a higher payload – up to 28 tons – can be carried within the 44-ton gross weight limit. A kipper (tipping) chassis helps with denser, less free-flowing products: tilting the container lets the residue run out, which shortens discharge time and reduces product loss.

The 100 mm insulation

An insulated tank container slows the temperature change of the cargo. It matters for products that solidify below a given temperature, or whose viscosity rises so far that discharge becomes difficult – on longer routes in cold weather this decides whether the consignment arrives in a dischargeable state.
